Job summary

Frey Consulting Group seeks an experienced Operations Manager - RPLS (Must) with 5+ years of post-licensure progressive experience. The role will be based in one of our Austin, Houston, or Dallas offices in Texas.

You will lead geospatial teams on large-scale public and private sector projects, coordinating with discipline leads and driving project milestones, budgets, and quality control while representing the firm to clients and industry events.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in Texas.
• 5+ years of post-licensure progressive experience in surveying/geomatics.
• Strong leadership and supervisory experience.
• Strong communication, writing, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead business development efforts.
• Lead, mentor, and manage team members through performance management, coaching, and meetings.
• Collaborate with departments to schedule objectives and project milestones.
• Foster accountability, technical excellence, and professional growth.
• Represent the firm in meetings with clients and at industry events.
• Oversee and execute land surveying activities including boundary analysis for large-scale projects.
• Manage project timelines and budgets with efficient resource allocation.
• Sign and seal surveys, maps, and related documents.
• Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced team environment.
• Promote and enforce safe work practices.
• Perform in-process quality control of survey field activities and deliverables.
