Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• MS with 6+ years or PhD with 3+ years in software engineering.
• Production Python data pipelines on AWS or comparable cloud infrastructure.
• Experience shipping and operating geospatial data pipelines at scale.
• Hands-on with workflow orchestrators and containerized deployments.
• Strong observability: logging, metrics, dashboards, alerts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production pipelines processing IR mission data through L1 imagery.
• Minimize latency with pipeline and infrastructure optimizations.
• Develop geospatial data discovery, APIs, and data-serving infrastructure.
• Build internal data-visualization and inspection tools.
• Maintain testing and release infrastructure.
• Collaborate with data scientists to productionize research code.
• Build end-to-end observability with logs, dashboards, metrics, and alerts.
