Job summary

Esri seeks a seasoned engineer to help lead the development of advanced image analysis solutions for the defense and intelligence sectors. You will design, test, document, and deploy GIS-enabled software that applies photogrammetry, remote sensing, and AI to real-world missions, mentoring teammates along the way.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality at every stage, focusing on automated QA, test strategies, and robust data handling for sensitive information.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience on COTS or GOTS software products.
• Advanced experience in remote sensing, image processing, photogrammetry, or image analysis.
• Ability to lead major testing or design efforts and mentor others.
• Experience preparing and automating test strategies and cases.
• Experience managing project timelines and dependencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work with controlled unclassified information (CUI).
• Bachelor’s degree in geography, engineering, remote sensing, photogrammetry, or a related field.
• U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret clearance with SCI access.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and test industry leading software solutions for imagery products and formats (NITF, GeoTIFF, CADRG, MISB/ FMV).
• Collaborate with software developers to integrate and test toolkits into ArcGIS.
• Document and coordinate results from defense and intelligence lab testing.
• Collaborate on building software and plan for future releases.
• Define, document, and prioritize user requirements for GIS in real-world remote sensing scenarios.
• Lead design, development, and documentation of automated QA plans and tests.
