Job summary
Esri in Redlands, CA is seeking a Technical Consultant, Enterprise Data Engineer to design and implement scalable geospatial data platforms for defense and intelligence operations. You will work with customers to architect data solutions that integrate, manage, and optimize complex datasets across secure environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in database design, administration, and optimization.
- Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SAP HANA.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for automation.
- Familiarity with geospatial data types, coordinate systems, and spatial indexing.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable database solutions for mission-critical applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across all phases of implementation.
- Configure and maintain database environments, including backup, high-availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Monitor and tune database performance using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
- Implement data security measures, access controls, and compliance standards.
- Automate routine database loading, maintenance, and monitoring tasks.
- Provide technical guidance and best practices for database design, migration, and integration projects.
