Job summary

Esri is seeking a senior software developer to build and release GIS and remote sensing technologies for defense and intelligence communities. You will design, implement, test, and release image processing tools for multiple modalities, with emphasis on imagery workflows and GIS integrations.

The role focuses on high-performance, cloud-friendly desktop and enterprise solutions, leveraging formats like NITF, GeoTIFF, MISB, and ArcGIS APIs. A TS/SCI pathway may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, geography, engineering, remote sensing, photogrammetry, or related field.
• 5+ years of development experience with high performance imagery applications.
• Experience with COTS or GOTS software.
• Significant experience with remote sensing, image processing, photogrammetry, or image analysis.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret Clearance with SCI access.

Responsibilities

• Understand DoD and intelligence community user requirements and develop GIS and remote sensing software for defense scenarios.
• Develop image processing and analysis capabilities for EO, TIR, Radar, and motion imagery.
• Build cloud-friendly desktop and enterprise software for defense workflows using NITF, GeoTIFF, MISB video formats.
• Create advanced image processing components, algorithms, and APIs.
• Collaborate to integrate community toolkits into ArcGIS.
• Mentor junior developers on projects.
