CSI Recruiting is partnering with an independent E&P company based in Oklahoma City to appoint a Director of Geoscience, the most senior geology and geophysics leader in the organization. The role reports to the President and CEO and focuses on exploitation and development of unconventional gas assets.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology required; MBA/MA/MS preferred.
• 15+ years of upstream oil & gas geoscience experience with large gas play development.
• Experience with large-scale unconventional natural gas development (Haynesville/Bossier preferred).
• Proficiency with geoscience software such as Petra, Kingdom, Petrel.
• Commercially oriented with understanding of cash flow, economics, and rate of return.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to present analyses to large groups.

Responsabilidades

• Lead geoscience functions for an active unconventional development program.
• Integrate geological, geophysical and petrophysical data to guide development planning, drilling inventory, landing-zone selection and well placement.
• Develop, manage, mentor a staff of geologists and Geotechnical/GIS personnel.
• Provide geoscience expertise for A&D project execution and business development efforts.
• Generate geoscience presentation materials including maps, cross-sections, regional geology studies and other exhibits for executive summaries and board presentations.
• Work directly at times with partners, reserve auditors, and bankers on highly confidential evaluations.
• Identify and communicate subsurface uncertainties, geologic hazards and risks affecting development performance.
