Job summary

ONEOK is seeking a Senior Geologist to oversee complex subsurface evaluations and integrity workstreams for underground gas and liquids storage and reserve assets. The role provides technical leadership for drilling, solution mining, downhole monitoring, integrity testing, and inventory verification, guiding cross-functional collaboration and mentoring other engineers.

This position operates with limited supervision, driving improvements to systems, workflows, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology or geologic engineering or equivalent
• Typically 8–10 years of underground storage experience
• Experience with underground storage activities, safety procedures, and cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Owns delivery of complex subsurface analyses, cavern data, and integrity results with actionable leadership recommendations
• Leads evaluation and support for drilling, solution mining, and workover planning with detailed work plans
• Resolves complex well and cavern integrity challenges through interpretation of formation behavior and operational conditions
• Drives improvements to underground storage integrity processes, methods, and reporting
• Collaborates across teams and may engage external parties on medium-to-high complexity matters
• Supports regulatory interactions with technical input for plans, variances, and compliance
• Provides guidance and training to junior staff and reviews technical work for accuracy
