Job summary

Terracon seeks a Senior Geologist/Hydrogeologist to guide complex field investigations and reporting on environmental and geologic site conditions. You will oversee subsurface data interpretation, cross-sections, and project-specific risk assessment while coordinating with engineering and environmental teams.

The role requires a Geology-related bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience; a Master’s degree or PhD is preferred, and PG certification plus Authorized Project Reviewer status are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or related field.
• Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
• Professional Geologist (PG) designation.
• Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer status required.
• Certification in field of expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding and awareness of project-related risk and mitigation.
• Lead safety efforts for the project team and promote safe work practices.
• Monitor quality and drive continuous improvement on projects.
• Lead complex projects as a Senior Geologist/Hydrogeologist with innovative techniques.
• Oversee analysis and recommendations in written reports.
• Help establish and update policies for technical field work.
• Provide technical direction and training to staff with less experience.
• Contribute to marketing strategies and client qualification presentations.
• Serve as an Authorized Project Reviewer.
