Job summary

Terracon in Harrisburg, PA is seeking a senior Geologist/Hydrogeologist to evaluate subsurface data, develop site conclusions and create maps and cross-sections. You will oversee field investigations, monitor soil testing, interpret groundwater data and prepare technical reports.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field with 7+ years’ experience, and possesses or pursues Professional Geologist licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or related field is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of related experience; advanced degrees preferred.
• Certification in field of expertise and ability to obtain PG licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate subsurface data (soil, groundwater) and develop site conclusions.
• Generate subsurface maps, cross-sections and collaborate with staff on projects.
• Oversee field monitoring, boring investigations and soil classification.
• Interpret soil, bedrock and groundwater data and prepare written reports.
• Lead project phases, mentor junior Geologists and potentially lead medium projects.
• Prepare client proposals and ensure quality control of written work.
