Job summary

American Structurepoint in Indianapolis seeks a Senior Geologist to join our Environmental group. You will work with project managers, geologists, ecologists and environmental specialists on characterizing natural resources and documenting environmental impacts for infrastructure projects.

Requirements include a geology degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s), 4+ years of relevant experience, ability to obtain a Professional Geologist license, strong teamwork and communication, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology.
• 4+ years of relevant consulting or regulatory experience.
• Ability to obtain Professional Geologist license.

Responsibilities

• Field data collection and analysis of soil, water, and other materials for environmental assessments
• Collect and compile geographic information using GPS
• Develop plans, technical reports, and/or permit applications
• Prepare maps utilizing geographic information system (GIS) software
• Coordinate with government agencies regarding regulatory requirements
• Deliver presentations at public forums, conferences, and client meetings
• Understand and maintain proficiency with environmental regulations applicable to the development of transportation and other civil works projects
• Limited travel required
