Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Geology.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience in consulting or regulatory environment.
• Ability to obtain Professional Geologist License.
• Ability to work well and self-motivate in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to work in variable conditions, including uneven ground and access to remote sites.
• Strong team player with effective internal & external communication skills.
• Experience with ArcView/ArcPro required.

Responsibilities

• Field data collection and analysis of soil, water, and other materials for environmental assessments.
• Collect and compile geographic information using global positioning system (GPS) equipment.
• Develop plans, technical reports, and/or permit applications.
• Prepare maps utilizing geographic information system (GIS) software.
• Regularly coordinate with government agencies regarding regulatory requirements.
• Deliver presentations at public forums, conferences, and client meetings.
• Understand and maintain proficiency with environmental regulations applicable to the development of transportation and other civil works projects.
• Limited travel required.
