LVI Associates is seeking a Senior Geochemist to lead complex mining and environmental projects across the U.S. and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, engineering, geochemistry, or a related technical discipline.
• Advanced degree in geochemistry or related field strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of environmental water quality and aqueous geochemistry.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a senior technical resource on mining-related geochemistry and environmental projects.
• Evaluate geochemical processes affecting groundwater, surface water, mine materials, and overall water quality.
• Conduct and interpret geochemical modeling to support impact evaluations, mine planning, remediation, and water management strategies.
• Analyze complex laboratory, field, hydrogeologic, and geochemical datasets.
• Support characterization of rock, soil, mine waste, water, and other environmental media.
• Evaluate topics such as water-rock interaction, contaminant mobility, mine drainage, and long-term water quality.
• Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, presentations, and other client deliverables.
• Work closely with hydrogeologists, geologists, engineers, and environmental scientists on multidisciplinary projects.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other professionals.
• Participate in client meetings and occasional travel to active and inactive mining sites.
