Job summary
RESPEC is seeking an experienced Geochemist to provide technical leadership within our mining geochemistry and biogeochemistry consulting practice. The role offers opportunities to lead complex projects, mentor professionals, and deliver innovative solutions for North American clients while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
You will lead geochemical characterization programs, predictive modeling, and biogeochemical treatment projects.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Geochemistry or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in mining geochemistry or environmental consulting.
- Professional Geologist (PG/P.Geo) registration or ability to obtain.
- Excellent technical writing, verbal, and presentation abilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead geochemical characterization programs for mining projects.
- Direct laboratory and field investigations related to mine waste and mine water.
- Interpret geochemical datasets and conduct predictive modeling studies.
- Review analyses and deliverables by junior staff and prepare client deliverables.
- Ensure technical quality and excellence across projects.
