Job summary

GenomOncology LLC is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to bridge clients and our product development team. You will translate laboratory workflows into well-defined application design, configure and validate GO tools, and coordinate deployment with cross-functional teams.

You will work closely with Client Service, Product Development, and Operations to ensure the solution meets scientific and business requirements, while mentoring junior engineers and improving implementation processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in application implementation, solution design, software configuration, or customer-facing technical roles within an SDLC environment.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional specifications, workflows, or software configurations.
• Experience validating software through functional, integration, or user acceptance testing.
• Experience in clinical diagnostics, molecular biology, genomics, healthcare software, or laboratory information systems is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between Client Service, Product Development, Development Operations, and GO Clients.
• Participate in client meetings to gather design requirements and report status on GO tasks.
• Collaborate with Project Managers in developing project plans, time estimates, and delivery activities.
• Create JIRA design tickets documenting configuration and data requirements.
• Create UI, report and data output mockups to illustrate functionality within GO tools.
• Validate design tickets with Product Development and ensure readiness for deployment.
• Write validation tests in YAML and Gherkin; perform manual and automated testing of GO tools.
• Support deployment of updates to GO environments and assist in troubleshooting with cross-functional teams.
