Job summary

The Senior Genetic Counselor Assistant supports genetic counselors and healthcare teams in delivering high-quality genetic counseling services. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Genetics, Biology, or related field.
• Certification as a Genetic Counselor Assistant or relevant experience preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of healthcare experience, ideally in genetic counseling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient interviews and document family history for counselors.
• Enter patient data accurately into EHR systems and manage records.
• Coordinate patient files and test results with HIPAA compliance.
• Assist in genetic counseling sessions and provide patient education.
• Prepare educational materials and respond to patient inquiries.
• Support research projects, data collection, and outreach programs.
• Collaborate with physicians and counselors to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain confidentiality and support accreditation/compliance activities.
