Job summary

GC&E Systems seeks a Senior Security Solutions Specialist to deploy, configure, and optimize Genetec Security Center across access control, video, intercom, and related subsystems at a major customer site in the Tampa/St. Petersburg region.

The role combines hands-on system design, commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing operational support. You will train users, coordinate with GC&E teams, and drive project success in a mission‑critical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Genetec certification required; advanced Genetec training strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in access control, video surveillance, and integrated security systems.
• Deep knowledge of system programming, database structures, and IP‑based security architectures.
• Strong project management capabilities with the ability to lead technical workstreams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong IP networking skills and proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver high‑quality customer support.
• Experience with CAD basics and database fundamentals is a plus.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead system design, configuration, and integration of Genetec Security Center and related subsystems.
• Perform site surveys, commissioning, testing, and technical delivery.
• Develop custom solutions, reports, workflows, and supporting applications.
• Provide end‑user and administrator training and guidance to stakeholders.
• Produce system documentation, configuration records, and technical reports.
• Support project managers with design validation, commissioning updates, and lifecycle planning.
