Job summary

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Generator Technician to support our Southern California division.

Technicians may begin their service routes from their home address and travel to various sites across Orange County, Los Angeles County, and the Inland Empire. The ideal candidate will have eight years of hands-on generator experience, with strong knowledge of stationary generator systems and related electrical work.

Qualifications

• Eight years of recent generator maintenance experience.
• Basic understanding of NFPA 70E and OSHA electrical safety practices.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle background check.
• Proficient English communication for reports and emails.
• Must possess personal hand tools for mechanical work and voltage testing.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and diagnose issues with standby commercial generators (gasoline or natural gas).
• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, filter and belt replacements, battery checks, spark plugs.
