Job summary

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Generator Technician to support our Southern California division.

The role involves maintenance, diagnostics, and service of standby commercial generators, with travel across Orange County, Los Angeles County, and the Inland Empire. Ideal candidates have eight years of hands-on generator maintenance experience, strong electrical knowledge, and the ability to work independently in the field.

Qualifications

• Eight years of hands-on generator maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E and OSHA safety practices.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Proficient English communication for reports and emails.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and diagnose issues with standby commercial generators (gasoline/natural gas).
• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, filter/battery/spark plug servicing, belts and components.
• Demonstrate knowledge of CAT, Cummins, Generac, Kohler, or Detroit Diesel systems.
• Troubleshoot and service ATS with proficiency.
• Conduct load bank testing to verify generator performance under load.
• Educate end users on proper generator operation and maintenance.
