Job summary

Goldbelt Apex, LLC seeks a skilled Generator Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel and gas generators across client sites. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and support installation activities to keep systems running safely and reliably.

The role requires strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, field experience, and a commitment to safety. You will document work, order parts, and provide guidance to customers while staying current with evolving

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with civilian and/or military-style generators.
• At least 2 years of unsupervised field experience performing comprehensive generator maintenance.
• Completion of a technical program in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose generators' mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Repair malfunctioning generators and replace defective components.
• Oversee installation of new generators and ensure operation.
• Test generator output to meet specifications.
• Maintain detailed maintenance and service records.
• Adhere to safety protocols while servicing equipment.
• Communicate with customers to identify needs and propose solutions.
• Provide guidance on generator operation and safety.
• Order and track parts and supplies.
• Support process improvements in maintenance procedures.
• Contribute to reporting and technical documentation.
