Job summary

PowerChampions in Greer, SC seeks a Generator Technician Level 3 (Lead Technician) to act as a senior field resource. You’ll perform complex diagnostics, repairs, and on-site leadership while mentoring junior technicians and coordinating with dispatch and parts teams.

As a trusted advisor to customers, you will ensure safe, compliant work, deliver quality service, and help keep generators and control systems running reliably for essential operations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience servicing generators, ATS, and switchgear.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with customer-focused approach.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on engines, ATS, switchgear, and control systems.
• Lead major planned maintenance projects with quality and efficiency.
• Lead system startups and train customers on operations.
• Mentor Level 1–2 Technicians and serve as escalation point.
• Ensure work meets OEM and company standards and verify documentation.
• Coordinate with scheduling, dispatch, and parts teams to ensure smooth service.
• Serve as lead field contact to build trust and repeat business.
• Enforce OSHA and NFPA safety standards on all jobsites.
