Job summary

Cognizant, based remotely with a physical presence in Sunnyvale, CA, seeks a Senior Generative AI Engineer. You will design and implement AI solutions, build APIs, and fine-tune models to meet performance and governance standards.

You will collaborate across business and technical teams, mentor junior developers, and drive best practices in AI across projects. This role offers remote work with occasional in-person interviews as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Java.
• Experience integrating OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini APIs.
• Familiarity with Llama 3, Mistral, and Hugging Face models.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and fine-tuning.
• Experience with vector stores like Pinecone, Chroma, Milvus.
• Understanding of multi-agent workflows and tool calling.
• Experience using TruLens, Ragas, and LLM-as-a-judge.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Generative AI solutions using LLMs, RAG, and agent frameworks.
• Build, integrate, and optimize AI-powered apps and APIs for business use cases.
• Develop prompt engineering, context management, and model fine-tuning strategies.
• Ensure AI solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and governance standards.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to identify AI opportunities.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and drive AI best practices.
