Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and execute capital projects across generation, solar, storage, and decommissioning initiatives.

The role emphasizes safety, scope control, schedule adherence, and budget management, with the ability to educate and direct teams on technical matters. You will oversee project plans, budgets, and schedules, coordinating with consultants and contractors, while ensuring documentation and QA/QC across varied environments.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or an ABET-accredited equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Proven experience managing complex projects in a regulated environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage diverse projects within scope, cost, and schedule.
• Provide guidance on project management strategies and practices.
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness (plans, contracts, submittals).
• Monitor budgets and revise as needed; ensure change management is followed.
• Prepare status reports and risk/mitigation plans.
• Ensure QA/QC and compliance with contracts and procedures.
