Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Senior General Superintendent for multiple locations across the United States. The role requires relocation and travel as needed, leading large teams on complex projects from inception through handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management is required.
• OSHA 30‑hour certification and STS-C certification preferred.
• ExtensiveExperience: 15+ years in large-scale construction projects.
• Strong leadership, safety culture, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates trade contractors to meet project schedule.
• Supervises and develops the project team.
• Manages project budget for general conditions and site services.
• Develops work plans and communicates field changes.
• Leads site walks with owner, architect/engineer, and lenders.
• Maintains contract documents and anticipates problems.
• Ensures permits and inspections are obtained.
• Acts as primary safety representative and drives safety culture.
• Leads contractor meetings and stakeholder communications.
• Mentors junior team members and leads the superintendent group.
