Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a General Manager to inspire the team, grow business, and maintain high service standards. You will oversee store operations, manage professional customer relationships, and drive financial performance with accountability for scheduling, coaching, and ensuring inventory execution.

The role requires 50-55 hours weekly, with 11-hour shifts, including nights and weekends, and involves ASE/industry knowledge growth and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience managing a team of 10-20 in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related area preferred.
• ASE certification preferred, but not required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Achieve overall store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage and grow Professional Customer relationships, including building and holding the team accountable to executing Customer action plans.
• Selection, hiring, development, performance mgmt., coaching, scheduling and engagement of store Team Members.
• Ensure execution of all inventory and operational standards.
• Coach Team Members to deliver on Customer expectations (DIY and Professional).
• Manager on duty responsibilities (coaching, floor/phone mgmt., task assignment).
• Lead change management.
• Foster diversity and a respectful environment for Customers and Team Members.
