Job summary

Advance Auto Parts seeks a General Manager to inspire the store team, drive customer success, and grow the business with integrity. The role combines sales leadership with store operations, including parts knowledge, scheduling, staffing, and the management of professional customer relationships.

The position is exempt, requires 50-55 hours per week, and involves 11-hour shifts across 5–6 days, including nights and weekends. ASE certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-3 years' experience managing a team of 10-20 in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Experience managing profitability and business metrics.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Achieve overall store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage and grow Professional Customer relationships and sales.
• Hire, develop, coach, and schedule store Team Members.
• Ensure execution of inventory and operational standards.
• Coach staff to meet Customer expectations (DIY and Professional).
• Serve as manager on duty with floor, safety, and open/close duties.
• Lead change management and foster an inclusive environment.
• Support District/Region and other functions when needed.
