Job summary

Proxy Legal Staffing & Search Group partnered with a regional firm to recruit an attorney to handle a diverse general liability caseload from inception through resolution. You will draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents while conducting thorough legal research and developing case strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a J.D., active Pennsylvania bar admission, and 2+ years of litigation or insurance defense experience; trial experience is a plus and highly valued.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active Pennsylvania bar admission.
• 2+ years of litigation or insurance defense experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Experience managing a litigation caseload independently.
• Trial experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage general liability cases from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
• Take and defend depositions
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences
• Prepare cases for trial, including witness and exhibit preparation
• Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, experts, and opposing counsel
• Maintain case files, billing, and litigation deadlines
