Job summary

American Global is seeking a Senior General Liability Claim Advocate to join our claims team. This role can be based near Berwyn, PA or in our Texas offices (Houston/The Woodlands or Dallas/Plano) and requires strong advocacy with clients, carriers, and internal partners.

You will monitor claims, facilitate reviews, collaborate with counsel on coverage, and drive settlements while developing risk-management strategies. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 to 10+ years of direct general liability claims experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or related work experience.
• Strong understanding of risk transfer methods.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Time management and prioritization abilities.
• High attention to detail.
• Demonstrated problem solving and presentation skills.
• Professional demeanor and adaptability to change.

Responsibilities

• Monitor claims activities with carriers and TPAs daily.
• Facilitate reviews with clients and carriers when needed.
• Coordinate with client counsel on coverage and settlement strategy.
• Lead periodic claim reviews focusing on reserving and resolution.
• Analyze losses to identify trends and risk-management actions.
• Develop resolution plans to close claims satisfactorily.
• Provide training on claims processes, investigations, and laws.
• Drive onboarding for new accounts and document key points.
• Support underwriters with submissions and communications.
• Advocate for coverage in reservation of rights and denials.
