Job summary

ImmunityBio is seeking a Senior Accountant, General Ledgers, to own accounting policies and controls across the organization. You will lead journal entries, fixed assets, and financial reporting, while ensuring GAAP compliance and SOX controls.

The role requires 3+ years of related experience, public company exposure, and strong analytical skills. On-site positions are based in El Segundo, CA or Torrey Pines, CA with competitive bonus eligibility and equity awards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with emphasis in accounting.
• 3+ years of related experience with progressively greater responsibilities.
• In-depth understanding of GAAP and accounting experience.
• Experience with financial data analysis and preparation of financial reports.
• Public company experience is a plus.
• Public accounting audit experience is a plus.
• Experience in biotech/pharmaceutical industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations for leases, payables/receivables, fixed assets, intangibles, accruals, prepaid expenses, licenses, and more.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and disclosures for internal and external use.
• Maintain fixed assets: acquisitions/dispositions, depreciation, obsolescence reviews, and impairments.
• Stay current with GAAP and advise on new guidance and policies.
• Perform variance analysis on balance sheet and income statements.
• Lead ad hoc projects (e.g., ERP implementations) and support SOX compliance.
