ImmunityBio, Inc. in Southern California is seeking a Senior Accountant, General Ledgers, to own accounting policies, procedures and controls across the organization.

You will prepare monthly journal entries, reconcile accounts, maintain fixed assets, perform GAAP analyses, and support internal/external audits, SOX controls, and ERP enhancements.

This on-site position is based in El Segundo, CA or Torrey Pines, CA with a discretionary bonus and equity options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with accounting emphasis.
• 3+ years of related accounting experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and accounting experience.
• Experience with financial data analysis and preparation of financial reports.
• Public company or audit experience is a plus.
• Biotech/pharma industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations for leases, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, intangibles, accruals, prepaid expenses and license fees.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures for internal and external presentation.
• Maintain fixed assets, including acquisitions/dispositions, depreciation, impairment reviews.
• Stay current with GAAP and assist in new guidance/policy implementation.
• Perform balance sheet and income statement variance analysis.
• Contribute to ERP implementation projects as assigned.
• Ensure SOX compliance across accounting functions.
• Ensure policy/procedure consistency and compliance across the company.
• Drive process improvements for efficiency and scalability.
• Support audits with documentation and respond to requests.
• Support internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
