Job summary

ImmunityBio in Southern California seeks a Senior Accountant, General Ledgers, to oversee accounting policies and controls across the organization. You will ensure accuracy of general ledgers, prepare journal entries, and assist with annual financial statements and disclosures.

The role emphasizes fixed assets, GAAP compliance, variance analysis, and audit support, with on-site work in El Segundo or Torrey Pines, CA, and standard Monday–Friday hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of related experience with progressively greater responsibilities.
• In-depth understanding of GAAP and accounting experience.
• Experience with financial data analysis and preparation of financial reports.
• Public company experience is a plus.
• Experience in biotech/pharmaceutical industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations for leases, payables/receivables, fixed assets, intangibles and accruals.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures.
• Maintain fixed assets ledger, depreciation, impairment reviews.
• Stay current with GAAP and new accounting guidance.
• Balance sheet and income statement variance analysis.
• Support SOX compliance and internal/external audits.
• Contribute to process improvements for efficiency and scalability.
