Job summary

Optro is hiring a Senior General Ledger Accountant in the United States. You will own the month-end close, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany pricing analyses.

The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure US GAAP compliance and timely financial reporting. You will work with a cloud-based platform in a fast-growing SaaS environment, supporting audits and process improvements while mentoring junior staff and contributing to our ESG and risk management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business/Finance with Accounting emphasis.
• Proficient in US GAAP and accrual basis accounting.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and inter-company transactions.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP experience (NetSuite a plus).
• Detail-oriented, able to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely month-end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements for internal and external parties.
• Conduct flux analyses to summarize activity and tell the story of the period.
• Coordinate with other departments to obtain information and resolve discrepancies.
• Support audit activities and mentor junior staff.
