Job summary

Coakley & Williams Construction, LLC in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a Corporate General Ledger Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, assist with monthly close, prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support reporting across multiple business units.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in accounting, 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills, with ERP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with construction ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and reconciliations across the general ledger.
• Support month-end, year-end close and internal financial reporting.
• Assist with audits and ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Identify process improvements and assist ERP implementations.
