Royal American Companies is seeking an experienced General Ledger Staff Accountant to ensure accurate data entry into our accounting software and maintain financial integrity for properties managed by the firm.

The role focuses on reconciling accounts, processing journal entries, and supporting auditors and managers with reliable financial reporting. Strong problem solving, communication, and confidentiality are essential to succeed in this hands-on position.

Qualifications

• 2-year associate degree or equivalent work experience in accounting.
• Real Page Accounting experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data.
• Strong data entry and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with owners/asset managers to meet asset goals.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and monitor cash accounts.
• Prepare journal entries and process invoices for taxes and audits.
• Perform bank reconciliations and fund transfers as needed.
• Support accounting manager and train junior staff as required.
