Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road is seeking an experienced General Foreman to lead field operations on heavy civil highway projects in Mesquite, TX. You will supervise crews, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence across multiple site activities.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive field experience, and proficiency with construction management tools. On-site work is required, with benefits and an ESOP-owned culture in a long-standing, U.S.-based firm.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations for construction projects, ensuring adherence to plans, schedules and safety standards.
• Implement and enforce jobsite safety protocols, conduct hazard assessments, and coordinate with safety personnel and inspectors.
• Maintain equipment and training for operators; manage hand tools and storage.
• Plan site logistics with Project Manager, including sequences, equipment staging and traffic control.
• Develop and manage daily and weekly schedules, optimizing crews, equipment and materials.
