Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road, Taylor, TX, is seeking an experienced Foreman to manage daily field operations for heavy civil projects in Taylor, Texas. You will lead crews, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality on site.

Responsibilities include planning site logistics, enforcing safety protocols, and mentoring team members while tracking costs and progress. On-site work and occasional night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in heavy civil construction.
• Proven leadership in paving crews and subcontractors.
• Experience with field safety and quality control.
• Proficient with construction management software and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations for heavy civil projects, ensuring plans, schedules, and safety standards are followed.
• Enforce jobsite safety protocols and coordinate with safety personnel and inspectors.
• Collaborate with Project Manager on site logistics, sequences, equipment staging, and traffic control.
• Develop and manage daily/weekly schedules for crews, equipment, and materials.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of work.
• Provide technical guidance to resolve field issues and boost productivity.
• Track labor, equipment and material costs; assist in schedule/budget adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with laws, codes and company policies.
• Build relationships with owners, inspectors, engineers and vendors.
• Support team development through training and performance feedback.
• Oversee closeout activities, punch lists and final inspections.
