Job summary

Upside is looking for an experienced attorney to join their legal team as General Counsel. This role will report to the CFO and collaborate with the Deputy General Counsels to ensure compliance and effective policies throughout the company.

The successful candidate will have over 15 years of legal experience, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This hybrid position requires in-office attendance in Washington, DC, a market-driven salary, and a range of competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in-house or at a law firm.
• Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating large commercial contracts.
• Experience in data privacy law is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance across contract law, privacy, and data protection.
• Oversee contract review and execution processes.
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts with vendors and partners.
