Upside is looking for an experienced attorney to join their legal team as General Counsel. This role will report to the CFO and collaborate with the Deputy General Counsels to ensure compliance and effective policies throughout the company.
The successful candidate will have over 15 years of legal experience, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This hybrid position requires in-office attendance in Washington, DC, a market-driven salary, and a range of competitive benefits.

Upside is seeking an experienced executive attorney to serve as General Counsel. The General Counsel will report to the CFO and mentor/coach the Deputy General Counsels to identify, develop, communicate, and monitor policies that will ensure compliance with law by the entire company. This is a great opportunity to join a small yet growing legal team and work on novel issues in an exciting, fast‑paced environment.
This hybrid role is based in our DC office. In‑office attendance is required on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and may increase based on project‑based needs and changes to Upside’s in‑office policy over time.
The U.S. base salary range for this full‑time position is $285,000 – $310,000 + equity + benefits. The final starting pay will be determined based on job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
