Job summary

Meals on Wheels America is seeking an Associate General Counsel to provide broad legal services to the CEO, executive team and staff. The role covers corporate, employment, IP, healthcare, regulatory, fundraising and governance matters.

You will oversee outside counsel, manage contract lifecycle systems, and support information security and healthcare compliance while reporting to the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer in a flexible hybrid Arlington, VA role.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from ABA-accredited law school required.
• Active bar membership in DC/VA or eligible for waiver into DC/VA bars.
• 8+ years of broad-based legal experience in business, governance, nonprofit or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel to the CEO, executive team, staff and Board on a range of issues.
• Draft, analyze and edit contracts, including corporate, employment, fundraising and partner agreements.
• Advise HR on labor and employment matters and employee relations.
