Job summary

Enel North America, Inc. is seeking an experienced attorney to support its Energy Management and Commodities Trading team. The role focuses on drafting and negotiating PPAs, ISDAs, REC agreements, and other complex commercial transactions, with emphasis on energy trading regulatory matters.

You will provide strategic, commercial legal advice to senior leadership, manage regulatory filings and permitting, and guide cross-border matters, travel nationally and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school required.
• At least 5 years of legal experience in transactions with emphasis on energy trading.
• Knowledge of FERC and RTO rules and requirements.
• Ability to provide strategic and commercial legal advice and recommendations.
• Strong written and oral communication; solid business judgment.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
• Draft and negotiate ISDA agreements and REC agreements.
• Structure and negotiate other complex, time-sensitive commercial transactions.
• Counsel on Know Your Customer processes and regulatory matters.
• Support permitting processes and manage litigation related to the business line.
