Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a senior security engineering leader in New Jersey to define and drive the GenAI platform security and end-to-end feature delivery. You will set the technology stack, enable CI/CD, and guide cross‑functional teams on secure design and performance practices.

The role emphasizes threat modeling, data protection, and risk assessment across distributed cloud-native platforms, with responsibilities spanning architecture, API security, and governance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cybersecurity, security architecture, or platform security engineering.
• Strong expertise in IAM, OAuth2, mTLS; API security, gateway enforcement, and zero-trust design.
• Threat modeling and risk assessment.
• Designing and securing distributed, cloud-native platforms and multi-tenant systems.
• Data protection, encryption, and access control principles; auditability and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Defines and leads the engineering approach for complex features to deliver business outcomes.
• Defines technology tool stack and evaluates/testing frameworks for teams.
• Enables CI/CD capabilities and collaborates with stakeholders on CI/CD efficiency.
• Guides design and best practices for high code performance; code reviews, pairing.
• Delivers end-to-end complex features across teams and programs.
• Conducts research, prototyping, and exploration of new toolsets for release management and CI/CD.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to establish solution needs and works with architects on requirements.
• Defines and implements AI guardrails and safety controls; security architecture for GenAI platform.
• Leads threat modeling and risk assessment for GenAI systems; enforces data security controls.
