CVS Health is seeking a senior software engineer to join our GenAI platform efforts, building foundational services for authentication, cost governance, observability, and routing policies. You will work with a senior, collaborative team to design scalable backend systems that safely handle PHI/PII in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities include delivering production-grade APIs, integrating with LLM providers, and contributing to secure, compliant infrastructure as we expand GenAI

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years building production backend services in Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs or microservices.
• Experience integrating with LLM/AI provider APIs in production systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core platform services for auth, quota/cost management, observability, and routing policy.
• Help define next generation of foundational AI services while ensuring safety and compliance in healthcare.
