Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Senior Frontier GenAI Forward Deployed Engineer to rapidly prototype and deliver GenAI-enabled solutions for clients. You will partner with client teams, product owners, and engineers to translate business needs into measurable AI outcomes and mentor junior colleagues.

You will work across solution engineering, architecture, and delivery, balancing quality, safety, latency, and cost while producing production-ready code and reusable assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science or Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, data science, or analytics engineering.
• 1+ years building and deploying GenAI/LLM-powered solutions in client or production environments.
• 1+ years with Frontier GenAI platforms (Anthropic, Google or OpenAI) including hands-on with Claude, Gemini, GPT-4o, or related tools.
• 1+ years leading project workstreams and translating business problems into AI solutions.
• 1+ years building reliable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Ability to travel 50% on average.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Responsibilities

• Embed with clients to identify business needs and translate GenAI use cases into solutions.
• Partner with leaders, product owners, architects, and engineers to align priorities and delivery.
• Lead sessions to shape solutions and drive client outcomes.
• Prototype and deliver GenAI solutions using industry expertise.
• Mentor newer team members within an FDE pod.
• Coach client teams on platform capabilities and AI enablement.
• Develop demos/POCs and contribute to proposals for client engagements.
• Create reusable components and runbooks for intellectual capital.
