KeyBank seeks a Senior Software Engineer – Generative AI Innovation to lead hands-on development of GenAI solutions for Institutional Banking. You will prototype, evaluate platforms, and deliver production-ready AI applications while collaborating with business and governance teams to ensure compliant, scalable deployments.

The role emphasizes autonomy, technical curiosity, and translating ideas into actionable prototypes and roadmaps for senior leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
5+ years of professional software engineering experience developing web-based or distributed applications.
Hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies, large language models, or related emerging tech.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy PoCs and production-ready GenAI solutions.
Evaluate and prototype GenAI capabilities and platforms for Institutional Banking use cases.
Develop AI-enabled applications and workflows using LLMs, RAG, and cloud services.
Transform business ideas into working software through rapid prototyping and experiments.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify high-value AI opportunities to improve productivity and risk management.
Produce governance documentation and support submission processes for AI initiatives.
