Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Foundation AI team to design and scale data pipelines that feed our VideoGen and 3DGen models. You will build infrastructure to crawl, create, curate, store and serve petabytes of data for high-quality synthetic datasets.

You will collaborate with AI researchers to move experiments into production, optimize data loading for GPU efficiency, and develop low-latency APIs for internal use.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a data systems engineer focused on research
• Experience building scalable ML data pipelines for batch and real-time environments
• Comfortable with multiple languages and technologies and adaptable

Responsibilities

• High-Scale Data Orchestration: architect pipelines for ingestion, cleaning, and pre-processing of multi-modal datasets
• Synthetic Data Generation: leverage image/video models to scale datasets
• Research-to-Production Bridge: create training data pipelines for research experiments
• Scalable Evaluation Frameworks: automate metrics and human-in-the-loop interfaces
• Model Deployment & API Architecture: design high-throughput inference APIs
• Autonomous SOTA Tracking: participate in literature reviews and optimizations
