Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Senior Director of Generative AI to lead the Applied AI organization within Roblox Build. You will own the full applied AI stack, including model strategy, routing, adaptation, CodeGen, and 3D layout generation, driving evaluation and production readiness at scale.

You will guide a cross-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers, shape talent and growth, and align AI innovations with creator experiences across Roblox’s platform.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in machine learning and AI leadership.
• Experience shipping generative AI systems at scale.
• Strong background in RLHF, distillation, model routing/adaptation, and evaluation science.

Responsibilities

• Own model strategy and routing for Build, selecting models based on quality, latency, cost, and safety.
• Lead model adaptation including fine-tuning, distillation, synthetic data, and feedback pipelines for Roblox creation tasks.
• Drive CodeGen capabilities and LayoutGen translation of creator intent into 3D scenes and code changes.
• Build and oversee evaluation benchmarks, metrics, and experiment infrastructure.
• Ensure tight feedback loops between model development, evaluation, and release decisions.
