Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Gen AI Architect for a remote US role to drive architecture and delivery of enterprise AI applications. You will lead scalable Generative AI solutions, leveraging LLMs, agentic AI frameworks, and modern web technologies across teams.

You will design AI platform architectures, establish governance, mentor engineers, and deliver high-impact AI capabilities with strong focus on performance, security, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems.
• Proven AI/LLM solutions delivery including agentic AI or RAG platforms.
• Deep expertise with OpenAI models, prompt engineering, vector databases and AI orchestration.
• Hands-on with LangGraph/LangChain/AutoGen or similar frameworks.
• Strong full-stack background in ReactJS, Node.js and modern architectures.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver enterprise-scale Generative AI applications using LLMs and RAG.
• Lead design of Agentic AI solutions, memory, tool integration and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Build scalable workflow orchestration with Temporal or similar tech.
• Define AI platform architectures including model routing and observability.
• Establish evaluation frameworks and governance for AI systems.
• Lead end-to-end product delivery from architecture to deployment and support.
• Mentor teams and drive engineering excellence, security and maintainability.
