Job summary

Cognizant seeks a Gen AI Architect (Agentic AI & LLM) to design and deliver next-generation AI-powered enterprise apps. You will lead architecture and development of scalable Generative AI solutions, leveraging LLMs, Agentic AI frameworks, and modern web tech.

You will mentor engineers, define technical strategy, and drive end-to-end product delivery with a focus on scalability, performance, and governance. This remote US role offers flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems or enterprise platforms.
• Proven success delivering production-grade AI and LLM-powered solutions.
• Deep expertise with Generative AI technologies including OpenAI models and prompt engineering.
• Hands-on experience with agent development frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen).
• Strong full-stack background with ReactJS and Node.js.
• Ability to define technical strategy and mentor engineering teams.
• Solid software fundamentals: system design, scalability, testing, performance, code quality.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver enterprise-scale Generative AI applications using LLMs, RAG, data, and orchestration.
• Design Agentic AI solutions to support complex reasoning and workflows.
• Build scalable workflow orchestration using Temporal or similar tech.
• Define AI platform architectures: model routing, prompt lifecycle, observability, governance.
• Establish evaluation frameworks including offline testing and outcome measurement.
• Lead end-to-end product delivery from architecture to production support.
• Promote engineering best practices: scalability, security, reliability.
• Mentor teams and foster innovation and learning.
