Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Associate Director - AI Solutions Architect (Remote - USA) to lead enterprise architecture and AI transformations across cloud platforms. You will work with executives, architects, and engineers to define roadmaps and deliver scalable AI-enabled business solutions.

The role emphasizes Generative AI, Agentic AI, and modern engineering practices, with remote work within the United States and a strong focus on client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in solution/enterprise architecture, software engineering, or technology consulting.
• Hands-on experience designing Agentic AI solutions with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar.
• Experience building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, FAISS).
• Strong knowledge of Large Language Models (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, etc.).
• Experience integrating AI-assisted tools (Copilot, Claude) into enterprise programs.
• Deep knowledge of Generative AI architecture, governance, security, scalability, and operations.
• Experience estimating, planning, and delivering AI initiatives at enterprise scale.
• Proven success delivering at least one AI-enabled solution to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture engagements from discovery to adoption.
• Drive application modernization transforming legacy platforms to cloud-native.
• Architect and implement enterprise solutions with AWS, GCP, Java, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs.
• Design Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions using modern AI frameworks and LLMs.
• Define roadmaps, POCs, prototypes, and POVs aligned with business goals.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to identify opportunities and drive measurable outcomes.
• Establish architecture standards, governance, security, and engineering excellence.
• Mentor architects and engineering teams to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
