Job summary

Empower is seeking a Solution Architect to provide technical leadership in designing scalable, secure cloud-based solutions. You will partner with business owners, product, data, and engineering teams to map current-state systems to target architectures, focusing on AI/GenAI, ML, and modern cloud patterns.

You will drive integration strategies, define reference architectures, and ensure security, governance, and operational readiness across initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in agile software delivery with increasing architecture responsibility.
• Experience designing distributed systems with microservices or serverless.
• Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into applications, model serving and data dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery with business and technology partners to define objectives and integration points.
• Document current-state architectures and design target-state solutions.
• Modernize apps into cloud-native architectures using microservices and serverless patterns.
• Create roadmaps and migration designs for cloud platforms.
• Design AI/ML-enabled solutions and integration into products with scalable inference.
• Define reference architectures for AI platforms, data pipelines, and security controls.
• Incorporate security-by-design practices including IAM, encryption, and audit logging.
• Collaborate with governance to address privacy, explainability, and model risk controls.
• Support testing, validation, and issue triage during development and production.
