Job summary

Capital One is seeking an AI Engineer 4 (Gen AI Platform Services) to join the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences team in New York. You will design, build, and deploy AI-powered products, focusing on foundation models, inference, and governance, while ensuring scalable, responsible AI across Capital One’s platforms.

You will collaborate with engineers, researchers, and product managers, optimizing GPU/TPU use and delivering reliable services with observability and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s in CS/AI/EE/CE or related fields with several years of AI/ML experience.
• Proficiency with Python/Go/Scala/CUDA/Java and production-grade ML pipelines.
• Experience deploying AI services on cloud platforms and scaling models.

Responsibilities

• Deliver AI-powered products with cross-functional teams.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
• Optimize foundation model training and inference for performance and cost.
• Define SLOs for AI reliability, including latency and uptime.
• Mentor engineers on scalable design and production translation.
